‘A mere formality’ - The public sector needs design

What can you expect?

Is there an interface between ‘administration’ and ‘design’? When we think of administration, don't we think of formalisms, standardised processes, bureaucracy, cumbersome procedures and forms? Whereas design is connoted with good form, the well-designed and perfectly formed! This interface exists, and design - in this case ‘service design’ - makes a significant contribution to the necessary transformation in the public sector! In her keynote speech, Professor Birgit Mager will highlight basic principles, processes and methods and illustrate the relevance of service design with examples from the national and international context.
