Helpful information on financing a semester abroad at FHV
You are planning to study as an exchange student at FHV-Vorarlberg University of Applied Sciences for one or two semesters and would like to find out about financial support? Below you will find an overview of the funding opportunities.
We generally recommend that you check funding programmes carefully and early on, especially since not every scholarship programme is suitable for every study project.
It is also very important to process grant applications very carefully, as the quality of the application can contribute significantly to a positive assessment.
- Erasmus+ grant
You are studying at a European partner university of FHV and plan to spend a semester abroad at FHV?
Then you have the possibility to apply for Erasmus+ funding. For detailed information please contact your home university.
- Support for exchange students through the JUMP-FHV association
Visiting students in urgent need of help may apply for support from the JUMP-FHV association.
You are studying at a partner university of FHV outside of Europe? Then you may be eligible for one of the scholarships offered in Austria for visiting students.
- Austrian Grant Database
The Austrian scholarship database offers you an overview of all funding opportunities for visiting students at Austrian universities. Please keep in mind that each grant programme has individual requirements and check the respective criteria carefully before applying for a grant.
- Ernst Mach Grant for students from non-European countries for studying at an Austrian University of Applied Sciences (Fachhochschule)
As a student from a non-European country you might have the opportunity to apply for an Ernst Mach Grant. We kindly ask you to take into account that the application has to be submitted to FHV in advance, after that the application for the grant has to be submitted via the scholarship database. Since the application deadline is very early, we strongly recommend that you start the application process early. For further information, please contact the staff of the International Office.
- Austrian Marshall Plan Foundation
You are studying at an American university in a technical field of study and plan to do research or work on your bachelor's or master's thesis at FHV? Then you have the possibility to apply for a scholarship of the Austrian Marshall Plan Foundation. If you are interested, please contact the International Office of FHV.
