The increasing diffusion of digital technologies, especially Artificial Intelligence (AI), has the potential to change the way companies develop their strategies and the content of their corporate strategy. However – given that AI is a general-purpose technology, achieving competitive advantages with AI is particularly challenging. As part of this research focus, we therefore address the question of how companies can use AI to establish sustainable competitive advantages. We focus on analysing the economic success potential of using AI along the business model dimensions (value offering, value creation, value capture).
