Digital Work
The increasing spread of digital technologies in human work presents new challenges (and risks) alongside a wide range of opportunities. Established organisational structures are often only partially adequate for supporting organizational members in overcoming these challenges, such as dealing with paradoxical tensions triggered by digital technologies or the effective integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) into everyday working life. The focus of this research area is therefore on analysing organisations and their development as an interplay of strategy, structure, processes, people and motivation.
As part of this research focus, we pay particular attention to the question of which organisational factors can best support and motivate effective human-AI collaboration.
