Course content
  • Tools of project management (project structure plan, milestone plan, risk analysis) in both conventional and agile approaches
  • Creation of a project management manual
  • Team competency and project leadership
  • Implementation of an environmental project
Learning outcomes

By the end of this course stuents can:

  • Identify the essential tools of project management (conventional as well as agile tools) and outline the phases of a project.
  • Explain comprehensively the purpose of a project structure plan and summarize the use of project planning tools.
  • Discuss the influence of team competency of project members and the leadership role of the project manager.
  • Apply the central instruments of project management in a success-oriented manner to a complex example project, develop an independent project plan, and use project control tools effectively.
  • Critically evaluate your own project plan.
  • Design a complex project plan and derive corresponding actions that they implement concretely.
  • Evaluate your project success as part of lessons learned and derive suggestions for improvement.

Assessment methods and criteria

The grade is made up of an evaluation of the group and an assessment of the performance of the individuals.

  •  Evaluation of individual participation in the seminar, of cooperation as a group, including the distribution of tasks, self-organisation and feedback culture (20 %)
  •  Evaluation of the content and presentation of a project plan (80 %)

For a positive grade, a minimum of 50% of the possible points must be achieved across all parts of the examination.

Comment

The seminar on methods of project management serves to concretize and structure the environmental project.

Presence during the game as well as during the lectures is required and cannot be compensated by any additional activity!
