It therefore offers all interested parties the perfect environment to get in touch with potential employers and strengthen their own network. It is also the ideal opportunity to find out about further training opportunities.

Which companies are taking part?

Stefan Fitz-Rankl: Almost all sectors are represented, from food manufacturers to high-tech companies, from service providers to social institutions. Well-known small and medium-sized companies as well as international corporations are among the exhibitors.

As part of the job fair, the FHV presents the study programs? Stefan Fitz-Rankl: As part of Work & Study, interested parties can also find out about our diverse study programs in the Departments of Engineering and Technology, Business and Management, Design and Work and Health. One focus is on part-time study. We teach the skills that will be in demand on the job market in the future. Through our network, we bring our students and alumni together with local companies.

The FHV is also represented as an exhibitor?

Stefan Fitz-Rankl: We offer attractive and meaningful jobs in the areas of teaching, research and administration. The FHV is a place full of opportunities with an exciting range of part-time and full-time jobs. We are a family-friendly university that offers a high degree of flexibility. Working in education is particularly fulfilling. All our employees contribute to the development of the people in our region. In doing so, they have a positive influence on the future and promote equal opportunities in society.

The FHV can already look back on a 30-year success story?

Stefan Fitz-Rankl: When the FHV was founded as a university of applied sciences 30 years ago, it was a visionary initiative aimed at promoting internationally recognised higher education in the region. A look back over these three decades reveals an impressive development and numerous milestones that have made the FHV an internationally respected educational institution. Today, the FHV is firmly established as an institution for excellent higher education and applied research. Its influence extends far beyond the region and the institution remains a driving force for innovation, knowledge exchange and the development of future generations of specialists.

What significance does the FHV with its extensive study program have for the job market?

Stefan Fitz-Rankl: The degree programmes we offer are specially tailored to the needs of local Business and Management. The figures show that 84 percent of our graduates already have a job offer before completing their studies. The FHV sees itself as a hotbed of skilled workers. A well-trained workforce is crucial for the competitiveness of this region.
