October 3: Check it Out provides orientation for training & career

23.09.2024
There are countless study and training opportunities for young people. Check it Out - the Vorarlberg Education Day on Thursday, 3 October 2024 will provide orientation. Universities, universities of applied sciences and institutions will provide information about their offers on the campus of the Vorarlberg University of Applied Sciences (FHV). Admission is free.

What should I do after graduating from high school? What jobs have a future? When should I apply for an apprenticeship or a course of study? Many young people are faced with these questions every year. The Vorarlberg Education Day was set up by the FHV, the Directorate of Education and the state of Vorarlberg to give them a comprehensive picture of the various offers and paths after the Matura.

On October 3, Check it Out will once again take place at the FHV campus in Dornbirn after a one-year break. A total of 26 exhibitors, including universities and universities of applied sciences from all over Austria and neighboring countries, will take part in the fair. Students and parents will receive comprehensive and competent advice. Visitors can obtain information about study programs at the information stands. There will also be interesting information about a year abroad, the army, civilian service, scholarships and the voluntary social year. Universities and other institutions will be presenting themselves in short talks. Anyone interested in career opportunities on the job market will find competent contacts at the stand of the Public Employment Service and Bifo.

Student lounge and networking event

New this year is a student lounge where interested parties can find out about current study programs. Following Check it Out, there will be a networking event for all exhibitors and visitors.

Proven platform for young people

Provincial Governor Barbara Schöbi-Fink invites: "The Vorarlberg Education Day is a tried and tested platform for young people who are looking for the right training opportunity. An important course is set for the future - and this should be well considered. At the Check it Out education day, interested parties receive a good overview of the wide range of offers, better orientation and help with decision-making. In addition, it is often easier to discover inclinations, strengths and talents in personal discussions." The Education Day is aimed in particular at students in the upper grades (grammar schools and vocational colleges), their parents and graduates of the Berufsreifeprüfung. The Vorarlberg Directorate of Education confirms Check it Out as a school-related event for which pupils are given time off school. The Vorarlberg Transport Association provides a free ticket for travel within Vorarlberg.

Admission to the event is free. You can find all information here ▷check it Out
