Double Degree Bachelor InterMedia HAMK and FHV
Häme University of Applied Sciences (HAMK), Finland and FHV established a Double Degree Programme in InterMedia and Design in late 2023 under the framework of the RUN-European University.
This Double Degree Programme is based on mutual recognition of the Master's degree programmes in Smart and Sustainable Design at HAMK and InterMedia at FHV.
Double Degree Description
- an offer to students to complete two different study paths at two different Universities.
- either a 3,5 or a 4 year programme, depending on the path you choose.
- based on the Smart and Sustainable Desing Programme at HAMK (240 ECTS) and the InterMedia programme at FHV (180 ECTS).
- study semester 1 – 3 (90 ECTS) at FHV.
- study semester 4 – 5 (60 ECTS) at HAMK.
- come back to FHV for semester 6 - 8 and complete their first degree after semester 6.
- have a guaranteed spot in the corresponding MA programme at FHV to complete the rest of the courses for the degree from HAMK.
- have their Bachelor's thesis and final examination graded by supervisors from both universities.
- study semester 1 – 4 (120 ECTS) at FHV.
- study semester 5 – 6 (60 ECTS) at HAMK.
- have the option to complete their internship abroad.
- be able to attend summer courses from HAMK to speed up their graduation.
- complete their degree during semester 7 at FHV.
- have their Bachelor's thesis and final examination graded by supervisors from both universities.
- choose between two study paths in order to find the best fit for their individual interests.
- spend one year at FHV (either semester 4 and 5 or semester 5 and 6)
- have their final presentation graded jointly by HAMK and FHV.
- earn two degrees at the same time.
Students who successfully complete the Double Degree Programme will be awarded the following degrees:
- Bachelor of Arts from FHV
- Bachelor of Culture and Arts from HAMK
