Lecture "What is sociocracy? And what can it do?" As soon as people come together in an organized way, there is a lot to discuss and decide. It is obvious that autocratic or majority decisions are not always suitable: ignored minorities, resistance, disinterest, division into winners and losers, lack of responsibility and more. Sociocracy provides an answer to this. It is not only a method or attitude, but also a philosophy and an alternative form of organization and society. Applied and lived in practice, sociocracy strengthens values such as cooperation, participation, shared responsibility, transparency, effectiveness, connectedness and an open learning culture through four effective principles. Sociocracy can contribute to real change and the development of potential in the social sphere. |

Lecture "Taking participation and quality of life to a new level - by means of sociocratic neighborhood parliaments" Multiple, complex challenges have long been on our doorstep: climate crisis, crisis of meaning, democracy crisis - you name it. Politics alone cannot solve this. A good, far-reaching, scalable solution is needed. For 30 years, people, NGOs and political institutions in India have been working together to set up neighborhood parliaments. In these neighborhood groups, children, young people and adults develop ideas and implement actions on the Sustainable Development Goals, human rights and children's rights. They work hand in hand with political structures and their concerns are heard. In this way, they are shaping a new kind of politics. How can we use this model to improve the quality of life in our social spaces? |
