The Good Practice PAL Award 2026

Submissions for the 3rd FHV/connexia Good Practice PAL Award are possible from December 1, 2025 to May 31, 2026.

Timetable

  1. Submission period: You can submit your project/concept in writing from December 1, 2025 to May 31, 2026
  2. Validation of the projects: An independent jury of experts will select the three best projects/concepts by June 30, 2026 and inform the award winners about them.
  3. Presentation and award: At KoPAL'26 in October 2026 at the FHV, the three winners will present their project/concept and receive an award.

How to present your projects

  1. Submission of project description: Describe the project/concept in max. 2000  words (as a PDF with images etc.). Focus on the criteria of relevance, evidence, benefit, evaluation and transferability. Include a cover sheet on which all relevant data (title of the project/concept, institution, submitter, "Submission for the 3rd FHV/connexia Good Practice PAL Award", place, date) are clearly presented. Make these criteria clear in your project description. Relevance and benefit are absolute prerequisites for a winning project. Cite your sources and don't forget the bibliography (indexes and cover sheets do not count towards the 2000 words).
  2. Presentation of the three winners at KoPAL'26: Present your project/concept with problem, solution and implementation in your institution within 30 minutes (including discussion).
  3. The winning project/concept will be presented to a wide audience as a publication in cooperation with the FHV if possible.

The projects will be evaluated according to the following criteria

  • Relevance of the problem: How relevant is the problem that is solved by the project/concept?
  • Evidence: On which theories and research results available in the literature is your project/concept based?
  • Benefits: What expected benefits will be generated? What improvements will result for the target group?
  • Evaluation: What criteria are used to measure the impact of the project/concept? Are there already results?
  • Transferability: Can the project/concept also be transferred to other settings? How could a transfer take place?
