What is the essence of your job as a university lecturer and what fascinates you about it?
It is a wonderful privilege to be able to accompany students on their journey from the first semester to the defence of their Master's thesis. I find it particularly rewarding to help shape their development and support them in achieving their goals. It's particularly exciting to see how they deal with new challenges and grow as a result.

Which trends in your field do you find particularly interesting and in which subject areas are you particularly involved?
After many years in practice, I have noticed a clear discrepancy between empirical findings that have been validated over many years and their practical implementation in organisations, particularly in the areas of HR management and occupational psychology. My focus is on closing this gap and thus promoting evidence-based change towards a positive work culture. This includes, in particular, questions around the topic of transparent remuneration, which is currently the focus of my research work.

What would you like to pass on to your students and what should they bring with them?
I appreciate it when students are willing to think outside the box and take on new challenges. I want them to take responsibility for their actions and decisions - be it in their studies, in their career or in society. Only those who are prepared to actively take responsibility can help shape the necessary changes in our working world.
