An encounter in the FHV library that changed everything

It was a late summer's day at the end of September 2013 when Antonia entered the FHV library for the first time. Freshly enrolled for the Bachelor's degree in International Business Administration, she was looking for a quiet place to familiarize herself with the first lecture notes. Markus, who had started the same course a year before her, was already sitting in his favorite spot among thick books and notepads. When he spotted Antonia looking for a seat between the shelves, he couldn't help but smile at her. It was the beginning of a love story. Seven years after their first meeting in the library, they said yes to each other in September 2020 - a new chapter in their story together.

The FHV was not only the place where they studied, but also the beginning of their journey together. Antonia continued her Master's degree in Business Process Management part-time, while Markus was already completing his Master's degree in International Marketing & Sales at the FHV. The international focus and strong practical relevance were decisive factors in their decision to study at the FHV. "Through our semesters abroad and our internships, we were able to expand our network and gain valuable experience for the future. As students, we particularly appreciated the close cooperation with the lecturers and the wide-ranging knowledge transfer, while also having fun," the two look back.

Today, Markus (38) works as Head of Corporate Procurement at Loacker Recycling GmbH, while Antonia (33) is furthering her career as Head of Human Resources at Rupp Food Austria GmbH. The FHV is not just a university where the couple gained knowledge and experience, but a place where they found the person they wanted to share their lives with. Even after graduating, they continued on their path together. With the same enthusiasm they show for their professional development, they share a passion for traveling, the mountains and sports. The two are not only partners in life, but also on every new adventure.
