Contact point for companies

The expert is looking forward to the new challenge at the FHV. The Digital Business Transformation research group is a point of contact for medium-sized companies in Vorarlberg to implement joint projects. "With our research, we want to promote digital transformation in the region. I am grateful for the support of local companies and we are looking forward to creating added value through a very close link between practice and science."

Support from Blum

The research group and the endowed professorship are made possible by the financial support of the hardware manufacturer Blum, based in Hoechst. "In Vorarlberg, there is not only a need for applied research in cooperation with local industry, but also for needs-based, future-oriented training of specialists, which is why we have created our endowed professorship together with the FHV. We are convinced that Sabrina Schneider will use her expertise to drive forward both education and research in the areas of digital innovation and transformation. We are already looking forward to the new impetus and further collaboration," emphasizes Klaus Wendel from the Executive Board at Blum.

Connected to degree programmes

The research group strengthens the FHV's expertise in the field of digitalization. The Blum endowed professorship is anchored in the Computer Science - Digital Innovation bachelor's degree programme and the Business Informatics - Digital Transformation master's degree programme. "Future specialists will be able to make use of the new knowledge, especially in the development of digitalization strategies for Vorarlberg's companies. The closer connection between research and teaching brings direct benefits to society and Business and Management in the state," emphasizes Stefan Fitz-Rankl, Managing Director of the FHV. Markus Preißinger, Head of Research at the FHV, is also delighted with Sabrina Schneider's commitment: "Together we are strengthening the attractiveness of Vorarlberg as a business and science location. The research groups will conduct research into the pressing issues of digital transformation - for and with local companies."
