New era: Tanja Eiselen hands over to Regine Kadgien
07.11.2024Inauguration of Regine Kadgien and farewell to Tanja Eiselen: In a festive setting with numerous guests, the handover of office of the college management took place in the foyer of the FHV. After 22 years at the FHV, first as a lecturer and then as Head of the College for a total of eight years, Tanja Eiselen is taking her well-deserved retirement. However, she did not want to look to the past, but to the future. "I have spent a third of my life at the FHV. This is associated with a great sense of gratitude for a long professional life. I estimate that I have come into the FHV building 4500 times. It was my longest professional career and therefore a very special station. Working here was very fulfilling and inspiring. I have always remained curious and we have developed the organization together. I really appreciated working with all of my colleagues. The FHV is a great place to work. There is no more meaningful task than working here," summarized the Montafon native, who will devote a lot of time to her hobbies of skiing and hiking in the future. Her thanks also went above all to her spouse as well as to FHV Managing Director Stefan Fitz-Rankl and Vice Rector Karl-Heinz Weidmann. Tanja Eiselen symbolically handed over an (engraved) scroll to her successor Regine Kadgien and declared: "I hereby officially hand over the role of Rector to you and wish you all the best in your new role. I am sure that you will master the associated challenges superbly."
Courageous decisions taken University management
Stefan Fitz-Rankl hosted the event and thanked Tanja Eiselen for the very good cooperation: "We can look back on a challenging time of growth and internationalization at the university. We have made many decisions together - including some very courageous ones. Tanja was always full of confidence that we could do it together. Among other things, she has developed the Teaching Excellence & Lifelong Learning Center and now the day has come when she can proudly look back on her work. At the same time, the university management is looking forward to working together with Regine Kadgien. She has also worked at the FHV for 22 years in various functions. Born in Koblach, she started out as a lecturer in Computer Science and most recently worked as program director for the bachelor's degree in Computer Science. "I want to be effective in my new position. This year we celebrated 30 years of FHV. This also means that we have grown up. We can be a little bolder and dare to do something. We will continue to pursue goals together. The quality of teaching, the reduction of bureaucracy and the integration of our strategic cross-cutting issues are particularly important to me," she emphasized. Harald Moosbrugger, Head of the Department of Science and Continuing Education, conveyed greetings from the state of Vorarlberg. He thanked Tanja Eiselen for her many years of dedicated service and looked forward to a continued solution-oriented collaboration with Regine Kadgien.
