University ranking confirms very good study organization
13.05.2024Dornbirn, May 8, 2024 - The latest results of the university ranking by the Center for Higher Education Development (CHE) confirm the high level of student satisfaction at the FHV - Vorarlberg University of Applied Sciences). The three bachelor's degree programmes Computer Science - Software and Information Engineering, Computer Science - Digital Innovation and Health Care and Nursing were evaluated.
The renowned Center for Higher Education Development (CHE) published the current rankings for universities in German-speaking countries. 120,000 students from more than 300 universities and colleges submitted their ratings. At the FHV, the three bachelor's degree programmes Computer Science - Software and Information Engineering, Computer Science - Digital Innovation and Health Care and Nursing were subject to assessment. The students surveyed were particularly impressed by the study organization and the excellent infrastructure.
In the top group
The FHV students assessed the quality of the university and the conditions of the respective degree programme in various areas, from IT equipment and examination organization to teaching and practical courses. "The very good ratings show that we are on the right track. We offer our students excellent conditions and a high-quality education," explains Stefan Fitz-Rankl, Managing Director of the FHV. Regine Kadgien, programme director for the bachelor's degree programme in Computer Science - Software and Information Engineering, adds: "The students' ratings are in the top group in every category. It is a sign of successful cooperation at eye level between students, lecturers and university administration and at the same time motivation to continue on the path we have chosen."
Future Skills
The FHV places high demands on its study programs and is thus helping to design the future. "Our lecturers are all proven experts. They teach students the future skills that are needed for the digital transformation in organizations," emphasizes FHV Rector Tanja Eiselen.
"With the bachelor's degree in Computer Science - Digital Innovation, we are offering a part-time degree program with its finger on the pulse of the times, whose graduates are in high demand in Business and Management," sums up programme director Andreas Pichler. The Bachelor's degree in Health Care and Nursing at the FHV offers more than 2,300 hours of practical experience. "As a young degree program, I am pleased to have caught up with other universities so quickly. The practical orientation and the digital teaching elements are particularly appreciated by the students," summarizes programme director Diana Brodda.
Personal advice The FHV offers 25 study programs at Bachelor's and Master's level in the Departments of Engineering and Technology, Business, Design and Work and Health. The offer includes full-time, part-time and dual study options. It is also possible to study without a Matura after taking additional examinations with a relevant professional qualification.
