  • Network calculations: Load flow, short circuit, stability
  • Star-point treatment: Isolated, low impedance, extinguished
  • Protection technology
  • Influence in the network: ohmic, inductive, capacitive
  • Insulation coordination
  • Selected aspects of energy transmission (e.g. HVDC, SmartGrid, etc.)
Learning outcomes

Upon successful completion of the course, students will be able to explain and evaluate basic as well as novel aspects of power distribution systems (grids), design electrical grids and determine the mode of operation, and design protective measures of equipment.
