Ana-Christina Grohnert

Business administration graduate, entrepreneur, ESG strategist, author of the book "Das verborgene Kapital"

Diversity as a driver of innovation: How diversity drives Business and Management forward

Organizations and the people in them long for orientation in a world characterized by uncertainty and rapid change. Multi-crisis situations sometimes demand the greatest resilience from them. But what if good leadership could not only help us to endure challenges (at best as a necessary evil), but also to grow from them and flourish together?

About Ana-Christina Grohnert

Ana-Cristina Grohnert is one of the few female top managers in Germany. As Chief Human Resources Officer at Allianz Germany, she played a key role in designing the Group's digital transformation. Prior to this, she was a member of university management at EY, where she was responsible for transformation and HR strategy and advised clients on restructuring and realignment. For 15 years, the business administration graduate was committed to equality and a new understanding of value-creating and appreciative business and management as Chairwoman of the "Diversity Charter". In her own consulting firm Corporate Transformation Advisors and as Managing Partner in the Berlin Advisors Group, she supports companies in the implementation and realization of their ESG strategy. In 2023, together with Tatjana Kiel and Nina Paul, she founded Score4impact gGmbH, which matches social commitment with the specific needs of aid organizations and thus supports companies in implementing their ESG strategy. She is also an investor and mentor and a founding member of the All Female Network encourageventures, which brings together female investors and mentors with female founders to strengthen diversity in the start-up landscape. Her book "Das verborgene Kapital" was published by Campus Verlag in February 2021. In it, she shows what the transition to future-oriented value creation can look like.

Director Prof. Dr. Holger Bonin

Institute for Advanced Studies (IHS)

Designing societies and companies successfully through diversity

Generation Z versus boomers, conservatives versus progressives, long-time residents versus immigrants. At a time of increasing division into social bubbles and growing polarization, reservations about a pluralistic society are on the rise. Diversity may be exhausting, but it is also a key driver of innovation - and therefore also of Business and Management prosperity. Economist Holger Bonin, Director of the Institute for Advanced Studies in Vienna, uses numerous examples to show the economic benefits that an increase in diversity can bring and how companies can benefit from a diverse workforce. However, success is not a sure-fire success, but often has to be worked hard for through active inclusion and integration. Bonin presents which concepts work in labor market policy and human resource management and which wrong paths should not be taken.

About Holger Bonin

On July 1, 2023, Prof. Dr. Holger Bonin was appointed Director of the Institute for Advanced Studies (IHS). Holger Bonin was most recently Research Director of the IZA Institute of Labor Economics in Bonn, one of the most research-intensive economic research institutes in Europe with the world's leading network in labor economics. Holger Bonin's research is empirically oriented and focuses in particular on the effects of digitalization and demographic change on employment and the demands of working life, as well as on the effectiveness of social policy instruments, especially in the areas of labour market and family policy. Holger Bonin is heavily involved in science-based policy advice. He is a member of the Expert Advisory Board for Skilled Labor Monitoring of the Federal Ministry of Labor and Social Work, was a member of the Expert Commission on Research and Innovation appointed by the German Federal Government from 2019-2022 and was a member of the Independent Expert Commission for the Federal Government's 2nd Gender Equality Report. Holger Bonin is an elected member of the Economic Policy Committee, the Social Policy Committee and the Population Science Committee of the Verein für Socialpolitik (VfS).

Nico Langmann

It all starts in the head - with a solution-oriented mindset to more diversity

Nico Langmann is a top wheelchair athlete. Wheelchair tennis, as Nico plays it, offers more than enough challenges. But the lecture is also about everyday life. As a wheelchair user, Nico Langmann is part of a minority whose requirements and needs are often unfamiliar territory for non-disabled people. In his keynote speech, he uses his life story to show how a solution-oriented mindset helped him to master this challenging path. In doing so, he wants to be an example for many other people and invite all interested parties to think about life paths from a new perspective - and thus make a contribution to diversity.

About Nico Langmann

Nico Langmann is an Austrian wheelchair tennis player and Paralympics competitor. He has won six tournaments on the international wheelchair tennis tour, two junior world doubles titles and three national championship titles. He is the founder of the Nico Langmann Foundation, which gives children with limited mobility access to sport - for this project he received the award as Sportsman with Heart in the 2024 election for the year. In January 2023, Langmann published his autobiography entitled How to give up a dream to win a life.
