FHV launches bachelor's upgrade program in Health Care and Nursing
28.03.2025The new bachelor's upgrade program at the Vorarlberg University of Applied Sciences is aimed at people who have a diploma in general Health Care and Nursing, have a university entrance qualification or have successfully completed the additional examinations at the Vorarlberg University of Applied Sciences. In just three semesters, students graduate with a bachelor's degree through the recognition of their previous achievements. Students join the program as a separate group in the fourth semester of the regular Bachelor's degree and complete their academic education in a blended learning format.
New career opportunities
"I am delighted with the cohort's high level of motivation. The new program has created another opportunity to gain an academic qualification in Health Care and Nursing. This opens up new career opportunities on the job market for this target group. It is a sensible investment of time, especially for people who want to work in nursing in the long term and would like to develop their skills," explains Diana Brodda, bachelor's degree program director for Health Care and Nursing. Programme Coordinator Stephanie Rankl adds: "In this degree programme, the promotion and development of academic competence go hand in hand with the specialization and further development of practical nursing skills." After completing the bachelor's upgrade program, it is possible to continue on to a master's degree in nursing.

The number of study places is limited to 25. In future, the bachelor's upgrade program will start annually at the FHV.
