What can you expect?
The four-country region of Lake Constance needs cross-border and cross-sector solutions for a sustainable future. Numerous innovation projects have been working at this interface since 2023: three labs and the Fund for Innovation and Transfer combine the expertise of 25 universities and over 100 practical organizations. Take the opportunity to be inspired by the approaches presented and to exchange ideas with experts, political decision-makers and innovators.

How can we combine economic strength with sustainable progress? How can cross-border cooperation between science and practice contribute to solving social and ecological issues? These forward-looking innovation projects provide answers to these questions: Circular Lab - develops circular solutions for the food and textile industries (FHV) Sustainable Mobility Lab - designs sustainable mobility concepts for passenger and freight transport (FHV) IoT Sustainability Lab - uses the Internet of Things for resource-saving facility management (HTWG - Konstanz) ÖV Connect Bodensee - designs a comprehensive public mobility system that is suitable for everyday use and offers a convincing alternative to private transport (W4) Planetary Health - establishes cross-border, collaborative teaching on planetary health to strengthen regional health promotion and sustainable development in the four-country region (W4) Experiencing democracy together - strengthens the participation of pupils in everyday school life and thus activates participation and democracy in the region (W4) These projects combine the expertise of 25 universities and over 100 companies. They are an initiative of the Science Network (W4) and are funded by the International Lake Constance Conference and the Interreg VI program Alpenrhein-Bodensee-Hochrhein.
