Guest lecture: Band Gap Formation in Corrugated Beams and Periodic Rotors

Professor Rodrigo Nicoletti from the University of São Paulo, Brazil, will give a guest lecture on “Band gap formation in corrugated beams and periodic rotors”. He is a guest researcher at the Research Centre for Microtechnology at the FHV collaborating with Prof. Fadi Dohnal.

Lecturer
Rodrigo Nicoletti is an associate professor of the University of São Paulo, working in the Laboratory of Dynamics of the São Carlos School of Engineering. He is a Mechanical Engineer with PhD in the area of vibration control of rotating machines. His current research fields and interests are the dynamics of period structures with applications in rotating systems, the measurement techniques of rotating systems, and the vibration control/attenuation of rotating systems. All involving theoretical, numerical, and experimental investigations. He is also responsible (coordinator) for the course of Mechatronics Engineering (mandate from 2020 to 2026).
