In this interview, Student Ambassador Marco Esposito explains why he chose the Master's degree programme in Business Informatics - Digital Transformation. Interview.

For Student Ambassador Marco Esposito, his Master's degree is the ideal combination of digitalization and Business and Management. At the FHV, he enjoys the close interaction with lecturers and working in small groups. The innovative learning environment offers him the ideal opportunity to develop both personally and professionally.

What motivated you to enrol on the Business Informatics - Digital Transformation master's degree program?

My previous degree in International Business Administration at the FHV was broadly based and I really enjoyed it. The Master's degree in Business Informatics - Digital Transformation has a very similar structure. It's a mix of Business and Management, IT, Behavioral Sciences and even a bit of Engineering. I think that's great because it tackles exactly the topics that are becoming increasingly important today and in the future.

What role do you think digitalization plays in the business world?

I see digitalization as a central driver of the modern business world, which not only makes processes more efficient, but also creates innovative business models and ways of working. That's why topics such as AI in particular are repeatedly dealt with and discussed in detail during my studies.

How do your studies influence your personal development?

I am experiencing extensive personal development through my studies, as it teaches interpersonal skills as well as specialist knowledge. Contextual Studies gives you the opportunity to gain an insight into other subject areas. In addition, the FHV gives you the chance to develop personally through many workshops, events and network meetings.

In which areas could you imagine working after your studies?

After graduation, the versatile orientation of my degree course will open up a range of attractive career opportunities in sought-after fields. I have already been self-employed for several years and am already benefiting greatly from the current and practical course contents. The relevance of the course enables me to keep my own company up to date with the latest developments in Engineering and Technology and Business and Management.
