Privacy Notice for E-Resources
We expressly point out that, in accordance with the library regulations, the respective terms of use of the e-resource you are using must be observed. In addition, we recommend that you carefully read the privacy statements of the respective e-resource providers.
If you use the option within the e-resource offerings to create user accounts, bibliographies, alerting services, or otherwise enter personal or business data (e-mail address, names, addresses, etc.), you do so at your own risk.
From the respective privacy statements of the e-resource providers, the storage location can be seen. If this is outside the EU and there is no adequacy decision of the European Union, the corresponding state does not have an adequate level of data protection. This means that data security is at best not guaranteed and data subject rights may not be enforced.
A European Union adequacy decision with regard to data protection regulations currently exists only for Andorra, Argentina, Faroe Islands, Guernsey, Isle of Man, Israel, Jersey, Canada, New Zealand, Switzerland and Uruguay.
We would like to point out that you have the right to information, to correction, to deletion, to restriction of processing as well as to objection to processing with regard to your personal data within the scope provided by law. Inquiries or requests in this context can be directed to datenschutz@fhv.at.
Against unlawful data processing, you have the right to lodge a complaint, which may be lodged with the Austrian Data Protection Authority (e-mail:dsb@dsb.gv.at) as the competent supervisory authority.
For the rest, the liability of the Vorarlberg University of Applied Sciences GmbH for the use of e-resources is excluded, unless such liability is obligatory provided by law.
The responsible party for processing is the Vorarlberg University of Applied Sciences GmbH, Campus V, Hochschulstraße 1, 6850 Dornbirn, e-mail:info@fhv.at.
